Kintsukuroi
By: “Hesed” (pseudonym)
Beyond the ocean's rim, an
Eastern island kingdom teaches
Kintsukuroi
A broken vessel repaired with gold is now
Unique from every other for
The scars it bears—a story revealed.
I, instead, hide my scars
For shame, a defeat displayed unwillingly,
Undesired—a story rejected.
So look to the
Son of God who
Carries scars, broken for a broken world,
A witness of the cost of Grace,
Redeeming, rescuing a fallen world
Scarred hands that embrace me.
Kintsukuroi incarnate.
